I am an Asia Pacific Expert for the FutureProofing Healthcare Initiative. Funded and setup by Roche but run by experts like me, this initiative aims to improve loccal healthcare approaches to several global health issues by fostering international cross-sector collaboration, addressing personalized healthcare and adopting digital health approaches.

Orang Asal are marginalized minority communities in Malaysia. Thus, my work with them has strove to respect and assist them. Informed consent was always obtained before their participation. My teams have also provided them free food, drinks, clothing, health checks, consultations, and follow-ups. I have associations with the Centre for Orang Asli Concerns, Gerai Orang Asal, the Keene State Orang Asli Archives, and JAKOA.

I am advisor to, and previous co-chair of, WEN, an all-inclusive volunteer network for academic/ professional/postgraduate women working at Monash University Malaysia to help them thrive and address standing issues, challenges and opportunities. All genders are invited to join!

I am currently Chief Internal Auditor for the Malaysian Research Assessment Instrument 
Accreditation. Before this, I have been a member of Accreditation Committees for MBBS, MD, M.Biomed Sc. and B.Sc. Biomedical Science degree programme accreditations by the Australian Medical Council, Malaysian Medical Council, Sri Lankan Medical Council, and Institute for Biomedical Sciences UK, as well as a grant reviewer for the Ministry of Higher Education's Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS). In 2005, I was invited to join Human Genome Organization’s Pan Asia SNP Consortium as chair of its’ Policy Review Board (PRB).
